One of MWR InfoSecurity's presentations at the recent DefCon 15 conference in Las Vegas discussed vulnerabilities in WebSphere MQ for which IBM have produced security fixes. The patches address two vulnerabilities which could allow a security exit and an invalid MCAUSER to be bypassed by a remote attacker. The fixes should be applied by all customers running software prior to 6.0.2.2 or 5.3 fix pack 14.
Information provided by IBM about the vulnerabilities and the location of patches can be found at the following location: -
