Title: DNS Recursion Attacks
Abstract:

Title
=====
DNS Recursion Attacks

Detail
======

As you may be aware, there has recently been a renewed interest in DNS recursion
attacks within security mailing lists, websites and the specialist media. If you
are concerned about the potential problems that DNS recursion attacks can cause,
you may wish to read a US-CERT publication that was issued last year:

US-CERT: The Continuing Denial of Service Threat Posed by DNS Recursion
http://www.us-cert.gov/reading_room/DNS-recursion121605.pdf

UNIRAS will continue to monitor the situation, and will issue further information
if necessary.
