Specification

The version with ‘Earthing Rings’ and toroidal insulators must be specified. The height of the APS shall be the height of the host fence plus a minimum of 1.2M acting to form a topping. For example the 3.0M high host fence that was evaluated at RAF Valley required a minimum 4.2M electrified system.

The host fence strength (including foundations) must be suitable to provide support for a tension-wire system typically strained to a tension of 40kg.
