To achieve NPSA approval, the MDX-3 shredding unit must be operated on High Security Mode. 

Not all Shredall vehicles are fitted with the equipment necessary to meet NPSA standards and customers should request that the Shredall vehicle be fitted with a MDX-3 shredding system in High Security Mode. The MDX-3 shredding system cannot yet produce waste residue to NPSA standards. However, the system has been approved based on the practical advantage offered by an on-site mobile destruction service. It is recommended that customers check the suitability of the shred size to meet their needs based on NPSA Destruction standard, before contracting.
