Board Engagement & Governance
Positive and visible Board level support for, and engagement with, protective security is vital to demonstrate to staff the value placed on security and the insider threat strategy.
- A Board member should have overall responsibility for protective security. They should be regularly engaged with key stakeholders from the insider threat programme and have a firm understanding of the risks the organisation faces.
- A non-Executive Director should act as an independent champion for personnel security matters and the insider threat programme.
